Beautiful Butterfly Ombre Glimmer Butterfly Birthday card

This pretty card is so easy to make. The Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid embossing folder set does all the work.

Card Base: Cut Coastal Cabana 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼. Emboss with the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid embossing folder. Attach the embossed white card mat to the Coastal Cabana card base. I placed my card mat in the embossing folder so that the large butterfly was centered on the card mat.

Card Front: cut a piece of Pastel Ombre Glimmer paper 3X4, cut the largest butterfly using the die from the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid embossing folder set. Attach this butterfly to the card front by using glue dots on the back of the body of the butterfly. I attached my die cut butterfly to so the body was attached to the body of the large embossed butterfly on the card front. Fold wings up from the card front.
Attach 3 pieces from Itty Bitty Bokeh mix to the card front with Glue Dots.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of glimmer paper used to cut the butterfly ½ X 4 (5 ¼). Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from With You In Mind with black ink before attaching this piece inside your card.

Envelope Flap: Emboss envelope flap with the Beautiful Butterflies embossing folder.

When we made this card in class, we used a different embellishment for the front. Itty Bitty is an appropriate name for the embellishments that are part of this suite. We found it easier to use Iridescent Faceted Gems instead on our card fronts.
