Birthday Wild card

I paired this fun animal paper with a sentiment from a new stamp (Rhino Ready) to make a birthday card for my great-nephew.

Cutting
Card Base: Cut Basic Black 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Like An Animal paper 4 X 5 ¼.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼.

Assembly
Use Beautiful Shapes Die to cut Octagon shapes for sentiment & mat. I used the 2nd smallest octagon to cut white piece and the next size up to cut the black piece.

This is how I set up Stamparatus to stamp the front sentiment and card insert. Stamp sentiments with black ink. Card insert sentiment is from Beside Me. Card front sentiment is from Rhino Ready.

Attach card front to card mat. Attach stamped white to die cut to black die cut. Attach to the card front. Add 3 silver embellishments from Adhesive Backed Studs to white shape.

Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Attach card insert inside your card.

Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
