My friend Lyssa shared this fun fold card using a 6X6 paper. It is a great use of those 6X6 papers.

Card Base: Cut Starry Sky 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½. Set one piece aside for your next card. Cut the remaining piece in half, so you have two pieces 4 ¼ X 5 ½. Fold one of the two pieces in half, making a mini card. The other piece is your card base.

Card Mat: Begin with a piece of 6X6 paper. Trim ¾ from one side. Orient your paper so it is 6” long and 5 ¼” wide. Score your paper at 4”, and fold on the score line. Attach this piece to the card base.

Card Front: Cut two pieces of Basic white with the 4th largest Deckle die, one is card front and card insert. Cut two balloons using a Beautiful Balloon die from the Soft Shimmer paper. Cut two 3” pieces of 22-24 In-Color Baker’s Twine. Attach Baker’s Twine to the back of each balloon. Glue one balloon to the upper left hand corner of the card front, attach the 2nd balloon to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals. Knot the two Baker’s Twine pieces and trim to desired length. I attached the knot to the card front with a glue dot. Add 3 Starry Sky 22-24 In-Color Pearls to the card front.

Attach the card front to the front of the mini card.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, use the other Deckle cut Basic White. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 2 ¼. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card. Attach the ¾ strip you cut from your 6X6 paper to the edge of the flap on the inside of the folded edge.

Attach the card insert to the inside of the mini card. Attach the mini card to the print paper on the card base, so that the flap closes inside the mini card.
