I love plaids and when you use red and green, you have the beginning of a great Christmas card.

Card Base: Cut Real Red 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Basic Black paper 4 X 5 1/4

Card Front: Cut Whisper White paper 3 3/4 X 5

Use Best Plaid Builder dies to make your plaid pattern. Use the grid die to cut out the Real Red lines. Use the die with the smaller squares to cut the Shaded Spruce piece.

Attach the Red lines centered on the White card front, some pieces will stick out over the edge. Leave that for now.

Attach the Green piece over the red. Use the back of white card front as your guide to trim off all pieces that are larger than your white card front.

Attach plaid card front to black mat. Attach this piece to card front.

Die cut from Stitched So Sweetly dies a white piece for your sentiment and a red piece to mat the sentiment. If you don’t have these dies, two circles would also work.

Stamp sentiment on white die cut. Attach this piece to red die cut. Attach these to card front and adhere red rhinestones to sentiment.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
