The Dove of Hope bundle is one of my favorite in the catalog. It is relatively easy to put together and has great impact.

Card Base: Cut Basic Gray 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut silver foil paper 4 X 5 ¼.

Card Front: Cut Balmy Blue paper 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛. Emboss paper with Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. Attach a strip of silver foil ¼” X 3 ⅞” at the bottom of the embossed card front. I attached mine ½” from the bottom of the card.

Attach card front to silver mat. Attach these to the card base.

Stamp sentiment on whisper white. Use Rectangle Stitched Framelits to die cut out sentiments. If you don’t have these dies, you could cut it out with your paper cutter. Attach sentiment over silver strip with dimensionals.

Die cut from Whisper White paper body of dove, back solid tailpiece, and 2 solid wings. Die cut from vellum, two wing pieces with cutouts.

Attach vellum wings to solid wings with glue dots behind the vellum at top of wing where there are no openings.

Attach wings to the body of dove, one wing behind the body and one wing in front of the body. Attach the tailpiece under the tail so you can see it through the opening in the tail.

Attach the assembled dove to the card front. Use a clear or frosted epoxy droplet for the eye

For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. I wanted a lighter image of the dove behind my sentiment, so I ink the dove stamp with basic gray ink and stamped it first on scrap paper. Then without re-inking I stamped in the center of the card insert. I then stamped the sentiment with Balmy Blue ink over the stamped dove.

I embossed my envelope flap with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.
