Garden Walk Thank You card
Garden Walk is a beautiful 6x6 paper. Sometimes it is hard to figure out how to use 6x6 papers in your cards. This is an example of how to make the most of your 6x6 papers.
Card Base: Cut Calypso Coral 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp Sentiment with Calypso Coral ink in the lower right corner. I used sentiment from So Sincere Stamp set.
Card Front: Cut Calypso Coral 2 X 5 ¼. Emboss this piece with the Distressed Tile embossing folder. Attach this piece to the stamped card mat ¼’ from top of card front.
Cut Lost Lagoon 1 ⅜ X 5 ¼. Cut Garden Walk print paper 1 1/ X 5 ¼. Attach print paper to the Lost Lagoon strip. Cut 6” of Calypso Coral Braided Linen trim. Wrap trim around the Lost Lagoon/Garden Walk band and knot at one end. Attach this piece with Stampin Dimensionals to the embossed Calypso Coral piece on the card front.
Add 3 Ombre Mat Decorative Dots to the card front.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 5 ¼. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut Garden Walk print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
Another choice: I used a different print from the same paper pack and matted it with Wild Wheat.
