Halloween Owl

We love Halloween at our house. I think this card is so fun. The owl looks so serious until you add the hat.

Card Base: Cut Early Espresso 8 ½ X 11 paper in half lengthwise. You now have two pieces 4 ¼ X 11. Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Front: Cut Very Vanilla paper 4 X 5 1/4

Use sponge dauber to add Soft Suede ink inside the tree indention on the front side of the Woodlands embossing folder. (the front of the embossing folder has the Stampin Up logo on it)

Emboss the Very Vanilla card front the with Woodlands embossing folder

Cut the branch shape from Night owl thinlit from Wood Textures paper. Adhere branch shape to bottom of Very Vanilla card front (see picture for placement)

Cut Owl from black paper with thinlit from Night Owl (tip: to make it easy to adhere owl to card front, I put a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive on back of black paper before die cutting)

Adhere Owl to card front with Owl sitting on lower branch.

Cut hat from paper of Toil & Trouble paper pack. Attach hat on Owl with dimensionals.
