Hello Cupcake in Gorgeous Grape

Cupcake in gorgeous grape

I needed a card to send to someone who is in the business of selling cupcakes - I think this fits the bill. My friend Jessica shared a cupcake card, I made some changes to her card idea. I liked the card so much, I am making more with a birthday greeting inside. If you want to make this card too, check out my supply list and directions.

Card Base: Cut 8 ½ X 11 Gorgeous Grape paper in half lengthwise. You now have two pieces 4 ¼ X 11. Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Highland Heather paper 4 X 5 1/4

Striped paper: Cut striped paper from How Sweet It is paper pack 2 X 5 1/4.

Card Front Mat: Cut Gorgeous Grape 3 1/8 X 4 3/8

Card Front: Cut Whisper White 3 X 4 1/4

Adhere striped paper to Left side of Highland Heather card mat. I left 1/4 inch showing of the Highland Heather mat.

Adhere this piece to Gorgeous Grape card front.

Cupcake stamp set up

Stamp Cupcake image and sentiment on Whisper White card front. I made the stamping easy by using the Stamparatus. I put the sentiment and frosting on one plate because both of them are stamped with Melon Mambo ink. I put the cupcake paper on the other plate because it is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.

The Hello Cupcake stamp set has an additional stamp to fill in the gap between the paper and frosting. I used the idea Jessica did on her card. Use Wink of Stella on the frosting part to add glimmer to your cupcake and pull down some of the ink in the space between the frosting and the cupcake paper.

Let this piece dry before assembling the rest of your card.

Adhere the stamped card front to Gorgeous Grape mat.

Adhere the matted card front to your card with dimensionals.

Adhere 3 glitter dots to card front.
