This pretty tree is made with a paper from Ornate Garden. It is a good reminder to look at your papers to use in a variety of ways. This is a floral paper, not one you would think of to use for a Christmas card.

Card Base: Cut Old Olive 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Old Olive paper 4 X 5 ¼. Emboss with Absolute Argyle embossing folder. Attach card mat to card base.

Card Front: Die cut the largest Stitched Nested Label from Whisper White paper. Stamp sentiment with Old Olive ink at the lowest point of this die cut label. Attach stamped label to card front.

Use the largest open tree die to cut 1 gold foil tree and 1 of print paper. Cut 1 tree from print paper using the smaller die.

To make a gold mat for the tree, cut the gold tree in half. Attach each half to back of the largest tree so that a little gold shows on each side of the tree.

The smaller tree has pieces that you can pull up to give the tree more depth. Gently pull up these pieces. Attach this piece to the larger tree with mini dimensionals, placing so dimensionals don’t show. Attach the tree to white label above the stamped sentiment.

Attach gilded gems to label.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
