Meow Mates Pet Sympathy card

Meow Mates is a large single stamp of a variety of cat images. I used a small section of it to make a pet sympathy card to give my niece. I also used a new die set, Meant to Bee that is amazing.

Card Base: Cut Fresh Freesia 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼.

Card Front: Cut Fresh Freesia stripe paper from the Toadstool Gardens paper 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Attach the Fresh Freesia stripe paper to the Basic White card mat.

Cut 14” of Fresh Freesia ⅜ Seam Binding ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the lower edge of the embossed card front and knot to the left side of the card front. I attached the knot to the card front with a glue dot.

Use the Mixed Labels die set to cut a label from Basic White card stock. Stamp sentiment from Mixed Labels stamp set with black ink on the white label. Attach the label over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp image from Meow Mates with black ink on Basic White paper. Die cut section with cat you want to use with the second smallest die from Meant to Bee dies. This die will cut two pieces; a large center piece and a narrow outer piece.

Use the third smallest die from Meant to Bee dies to cut a piece of Fresh Freesia.

Note: I specifically wanted to use the image of the cat that is in the center of my die cut piece. I colored the cat with Smokey Slate blends to bring more attention to that cat.

Attach the narrow stamped die cut piece to the Fresh Freesia die cut piece. Attach the larger stamped die cut piece with dimensionals to the center of the Fresh Freesia die cut. Attach these pieces to the card front above the sympathy sentiment.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
