The Merry Bold & Bright paper pack is not just for Christmas. I used it to make a birthday card for one of our littles who turned 5 this weekend.

Card Base: Cut Blueberry Bushel 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Poppy Parade paper 4 X 5 ¼.

Emboss the card front/mat with the Basics Hobnail Glass Dots embossing folder.

Attach the embossed card front/mat to the Blueberry Bushel card base. Die cut the number with the Alphabet A La Mode dies. I put a piece of adhesive sheet on the back of the Poppy Parade before cutting out the number 5, this made it easy to attach the 5 to the white circle. Choose the size circle you need from Stylish Shape dies set to fit the number you cut out, and cut the circle from Basic White. Use the next size size circle from Stylish Shapes to cut a circle from Blueberry Bushel.

Attach the number to the Basic White circle. Attach the white circle to the Blueberry Bushel circle. Attach both circles to the card front. I added five 2022-2024 In-Color pearls to the circle so he could count the embellishments on his birthday card.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment with Blueberry Bushel ink before attaching this piece inside your card. Note: Because this card was for someone turning 5, I chose a font that was print rather than cursive so he could read it.

Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
