New Horizons Birthday
Have you seen the New Horizons paper pack? It does all the work for you, just add a sentiment.
Card Base: Cut Old Olive 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Misty Moonlight 4 X 5 ¼ .
Card Front: Cut New Horizons print paper 3 ¾ X 5. This will leave you a 2 ¼ X 6 piece of New Horizons paper for your envelope flap.
Attach New Horizons card front to Misty Moonlight card mat. Wrap linen thread around card front 3 times, attach to back of mat with tear & tape. Attach this piece to the Old Olive card base.
Stamp sentiment on Basic White with Misty Moonlight ink. Punch out sentiment with Tailored Tag punch. I punched it so the sentiment was as close to the top of the punch opening as possible. Insert the punched piece under the linen thread on the card front and attach.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
