Ornate Thanks
The Ornate Garden dies are amazing. The paper on the card front has been colored to match the card base, an easy thing to do.
Card Base: Cut Calypso Coral 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Very Vanilla paper 4 X 5 ¼
Attach Vanilla card mat to Calypso Coral card base.
Card Front: Use Ornate Layers Die that measures approximately 1 ⅞ X 4 ⅞ to cut two pieces from Ornate Garden paper, use one of the pieces that has white background with gold flowers. I used the one with the smaller flowers.
You can color this paper with any ink pad, a dauber, or a sponge. I used a Calypso Coral inkpad and pulled it across the the two pieces of Ornate Garden paper. Put scrap paper on the table first, it is a messy process. Rub a paper towel across the Ornate Garden paper to pick up any excess ink.
Attach these two pieces to the vanilla card mat. I offset the two pieces (see card picture). You can line them up how you like it best.
Die cut a very vanilla stitched rectangle, using the rectangle that fits inside the die you used for card front. Stamp Thanks on the vanilla rectangle with Calypso Coral ink. Cut 6” of terra cotta ribbon from Ornate Garden ribbon and knot on end of Thanks vanilla rectangle. Add 3 gilded gems to end of vanilla rectangle, attach this rectangle to the card front with Stampin dimensionals.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
