Paper Blooms Birthday

The Paper Blooms paper pack has such great large floral images. The back of the floral print has coordinated prints that work with with the florals. That is what I did with this card, adding a small print to the floral print paper.

Card Base: Cut Night of Navy 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Petal Pink paper 4 X 5 1/4

Card Front: Cut flower print paper from Paper Blooms pack 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛. Cut strip of Old Olive print ¾ X 5 ⅛, attach this print ¼ from left edge of card front paper. Attach this piece to the Petal Pink card mat.

Cut a mat from Petal Pink using the 2nd largest oval shape in the Hippo & Friends die set. Attach Petal Pink mat ¾” from top of the print card front, overlapping with green strip of paper.

Using the open flower dies in the Perennial Petals dies; two of the large open flowers from Night of Navy and two of the smaller open flowers from Petal Pink. Attach the two navy flowers together, overlapping so flowers make one flower. Attach the Petal Pink flowers together, overlapping so flowers make one flower.

Stamp Happy Birthday with Night of Navy ink on white card stock. Punch out with Label Me Fancy punch.

Attach Night of Navy flowers behind punch sentiment in the upper left corner. Attach Petal Pink flowers over the white punched sentiment, lining up over the Navy flowers. Attach this stamped piece to Petal Pink mat with Stampin Dimensionals.

Add Elegant Faceted Gems to flower and card front.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
