Who doesn't like a shaker card? It is so fun and easier than you think to make. There are so many reasons to celebrate and this card is perfect for any celebration.

Card Base: Cut Rococo Rose 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

I had two pieces of the Rococo Rose card base from the Paper Pumpkin kit after using the back piece to make another alternate card. (see that card here: http://www.scrappinwithjoni.com/blogs/rococo-rose-pp-feb-2020-alternate-card)

I attached these two pieces together and cut them (see pictures) to get a card front 4 X 5 1/4.

Cut 6" of ribbon and attach where the two pieces are joined. Attach with tear & tape and wrap ribbon around to the back of the card.

Die cut an opening in upper half of card front with circle die. You decide how large a shaker opening you like

Cut the next size scallop circle from Rococo Rose paper, I cut a larger square around this scallop opening. It makes it easier to attach to card back.

Attach this Rococo Rose scallop circle to back of card of circle opening so scallop shows inside circle cutout.

Attach window sheet to back of card front, covering the opening.

Attach foam adhesive strips over window sheet around opening, just back from opening so it doesn’t show on card front.

Place sequins and silica inside shape made by adhesive strips. [I use silica from those silica packs that come in new purses, shoes, etc. to keep sequins moving in a shaker card] Pull backing strip from adhesive strips to attach 2nd window sheet, before placing 2nd window sheets over sequins breathe on the window sheet. This will keep the sequins from flying up and place the second window sheet over the sequins.

At this point decide if you want card base to show through on shaker window. You can stamp an image on white paper and attach that behind.

Attach foam strips along sides of back of card front. This keeps your card front rocking because of the shaker element.

Attach card front to card base.

Attach foil foam Celebrate to lower edge of card front.
