If you want to make a card for a pet lover in your family, Playful Pets is the paper pack for you.
The directions for the dog card are listed, with directions for cat card are in ( ) next to directions for dog card.
Card Base: Cut Real Red (Flirty Flamingo) 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Soft Suede (Basic Gray) paper 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut dog food dishes (cat food dishes) paper 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛
Attach card front to card mat, attach these to to card base.
Use Stitched Shapes dies to cut image and mat. I placed circle die on animal I wanted to die cut from print paper. I then cut Real Red (Flirty Flamingo) next size circle from the circle I used to cut animal. You could also use the squares or ovals depending on the pet you are cutting out.
Attach stitched shape mat to card front. Attach stitched shape pet to mat with dimensionals.
Cut 6” piece of Black/White trim from Playful Pets Combo pack. 6” is more than you need, but it is hard to tie a knot with a shorter piece of twine. Separate black trim from white trim. I used white trim on cat card and black trim on dog card. Insert trim in trinket and knot, trim to desired length. Attach trinket on stitched mat just under stitched pet with glue dot.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
