I love the papers in Poinsettia Place paper pack especially when paired with the Plush Poinsettia paper. I made this as a Christmas card, but it could also be used for other occasions. It would be great for those December birthdays.

Card Base: Cut Early Espresso 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat:
Cut Whisper White 4 X 5 1/4
Cut wood grain paper 4 X 4
Cut Plush Poinsettia paper 4 X 4 ¼

Cut the 4 X 4 wood grain paper at an angle with your paper cutter. I laid the paper over the cutting groove with 1 ⅛ on each side of the cutting groove, see picture. This gives you two card front pieces.

Use whisper white as your base. Attach Plush Poinsettia paper to the top part of white base. I used adhesive behind the plush parts of the poinsettia and adhesive did not show through to front.

Attach one of the wood grain pieces to the bottom of base. It may overlap or there may be a slight gap, either is ok as ribbon will cover it. Attach ribbon over card front where wood grain paper meets plush poinsettia paper. Wrap ribbon to back of card front. I used tear & tape on the back of the ribbon. Attach card front to card base.

Use die (the one that does not have an embossing insert) from Poinsettia dies to cut flower from Poinsettia Place paper. (See picture)

Die cut 2 springs (with die In Poinsettia dies) from Brushed Metallic paper. Attach sprigs to back of die cut poinsettia. Attach gold glimmer enamel dots to the center of poinsettia. Attach Poinsettia to card front over ribbon with dimensionals. Use Wink of Stella on leaves to add a touch of glimmer.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
