Sand & Sea Mother’s Day card
The Sand & Sea papers make a pretty background for a Mother’s Day card.
Card Base: Cut Blushing Bride 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼. Attach card mat to card base.
Card Front: I started with a white piece 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛ to build the paper pieces on, you could build the front on the white card mat. Cut the largest print 3 ¾ X 4. Cut the smaller print 1 ½ X 4. Cut your strip ½ X 4. Your paper strips are just a little bigger than the piece you are building on, use this base piece to trim the excess.
Start at the left side and attach the smaller print to 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛ white piece. Attach the larger print beginning at the far right. Attach the narrow strip where the two prints meet. Attach this piece to white mat on the Blushing Bride card base.
Stamp sentiment on Basic White with Blushing Bride ink. Punch out stamped sentiment with the Timeless Label. Punch again from Blushing Bride paper. Cut the punch Blushing Bride piece in half. Attach each half to each side of the punch stamped sentiment. Attach punched label to card front with dimensionals.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp the sentiment with Blushing Bride. Cut a strip of one of the print papers used on card front ½ X 5 ¼ and attach to card insert about the stamped sentiment. Attach this piece inside your card.
