Scrap Squares Scrapbook pages
This scrapbook design is perfect for those paper scraps that are too good to toss. You can use any kind of paper for this page.
Your base pages are two 12 X 12 white pages. I cut 24 - 2 ⅞ X 2 ⅞ squares. (You can cut the size square that works best for you, the squares just need to be all the same size).
Because I was putting these squares on white base pages, I matted them in Coastal Cabana with squares cut 2 ½ X 2 ½ (⅛ inch bigger than the print squares). Attach print squares to mats.
Left Side
Draw a VERY LIGHT pencil line across the white base page at 6”. Begin your design by attaching the squares so the point of each square is on the line. (See picture).
Build a row of squares above the center row of squares and below the center row of squares. Some of the squares will go off the edge of your base pages. Once all squares are attached, trim the squares so they are even with the edge of the base page.
Cut a 16” piece of sheer ribbon. Tie a knot toward the right side of the ribbon. Attach the ribbon to the top of the page, attaching ribbon to back of the page.
Attach 3 resin dots to the bottom right hand corner.
Right Side

Note: the squares will not match (shape or print) where the two pages come together. I think this adds interest to the pages. If you don’t like the look, add a picture or journal box in that space.
