Starting A New Chapter

I loved being a teacher. Both of my sisters were teachers. My sisters and I are retired, but I think it is so important to encourage teachers in the field. I have four nieces who are teachers. I made this card to wish them a wonderful new school year. The paper is from the fun paper pack called, Follow Your Art. The sentiment is from Check You Out, another new stamp set.

Card Base: Cut Pacific Point 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Basic Gray paper 4 X 5 1/4

Card Front: Cut paper 3 3/4 X 5

Attach card front to card mat, attach these pieces to card front

Cut Pacific Point paper 2 X 4 1/4, banner punch one end

Cut Basic Gray paper 1 3/4 X 4 1/8, banner punch one end

Cut Whisper White paper 1 1/2 X 4, banner punch end.

Stamp pens image on Whisper White banner piece with Black Memento ink. Color each of the pens, add a link of color from the end of each pen. I used Crushed Curry, Pacific Point, Calypso Coral.

Attach white banner to Pacific Point banner, Attach these banners to Basic Gray banner.
Attach these banners to card front.

Stamp sentiment in Pacific Point ink on Whisper White paper. Punch with 1 1/2" circle punch.

Cut smallest circle in Stitched Shapes dies from Pacific Point paper. Attach stamped white circle to Pacific Point circle. Attach these to stamped banner with Stampin' Dimensional.

Add a Calypso Coral enamel dot to white circle.
