You don’t need a Christmas print paper to make Christmas cards. This is a card idea that would work beautifully for your Christmas cards.

Card Base: Cut Night of Navy 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut silver foil paper 4 X 5 1/4

Card Front: Cut Night of Navy paper 3 ¾ X 5. Cut out the 3 intricate stars (the ones that are not open stars) from Stitched Stars dies. Save the cut out stars.

Adhere the Night of Navy card front with star pieces set aside to silver foil mat. Emboss these two pieces TOGETHER with Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. (You could use any embossing folder that has a soft impression. Do not use one that makes a deep impression).

Adhere this embossed card front to card base. Attach stars to card front in openings left for stars. I use a bit of liquid glue in the center of each star.

Die cut label that will fit in space on the card front and works with sentiment you want on front of your card. I used Hippo and Friends dies. Stamp sentiment on die cut label. Attach stamped label on card front with dimensionals. I then attached rhinestones to add a bit more bling to my card.

I did a Facebook Live showing how to make this card on July 6, 2020 on my Facebook page: Scrappin with Joni. You can see me assembling this card front.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.

I embossed the envelope flap with the same embossing folder I used for the card front.
