Trimming the Town paper pack has some great holiday papers, but it can be used for other kinds of cards also. The tree print paper in this pack works for a birthday card.

Card Base: Cut Early Espresso 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Old Olive paper 4 X 5 1/4

Card Front: Cut tree print paper (from Trimming the Town paper pack) 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛.
Attach card front to card mat.

Cut 5 inches of Faux Suede Trim. Insert slider to the left side of the ribbon. Attach ribbon to the lower edge of the card front/mat, wrapping around to the back.

Attach card front/mat to card base.

Stamp birthday greeting on Whisper White paper with Old OIive ink. Punch out stamped sentiment with Label Me Fancy punch. Make a mat for sentiment by punching a shape from Old Olive paper with the Label Me Fancy punch. Cut the Old Olive punched piece in half and attach to each side of punched sentiment. Attach to the card front over the ribbon with dimensionals.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
