Wishing You Much Happiness
I love all the texture in this card, the layers and embossing really add to the overall impact of the card. This is a card you could make in so many colors.
Card Base: Cut Highland Heather 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Highland Heather paper 4 X 5 ¼, emboss with Tin Tile embossing folder. Punch out 4 flowers from the CENTER of this piece with the small bloom punch. Attach the embossed card front to the card base.
Card Front: Cut Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Acetate paper 3 X 4 and round corners. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round corners.
Die cut the 2nd largest scallop rectangle from Basic White. Stamp sentiment in the center of this piece with Highland Heather ink. Punch two sprigs from Soft SeaFoam. Attach the sprigs under 2 opposite corners of the white stamped scalloped rectangle.
Attach this stamped scallop rectangle to the center of the Mercury Glass 3 X 4 piece. Attach adhesive to the back of the Mercury Glass just behind the white scallop rectangle, this way the adhesive won’t show through the Mercury Glass sheet. Attach this piece to the embossed card front, covering where you punched out the flowers.
Attach two punched flowers to each corner where you have the springs. Add a rhinestone to the center of each flower.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
I used the Tin Tile embossing folder to add some interest to my envelope flap.
