Wood Plank (In Good Taste) birthday card
The In Good Taste paper pack makes it easy to make masculine cards. I embossed the wood plank card front so it has the rough feel of wood.
Card Base: Cut Misty Moonlight 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Night of Navy paper 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut Wood plank paper 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛. Emboss this paper with the Tasteful Textile Embossing folder. This makes your paper feel like rough wood.
Attach embossed wood plank paper to Navy card mat. Attach this piece to Misty Moonlight card base.
From Very Vanilla AND Misty Moonlight cut the largest die in the Tasteful Labels die set. Stamp birthday in the lower right hand corner with Misty Moonlight ink. Use Well Written Dies to cut “happy” from Misty Moonlight paper. I attached an adhesive sheet on the back of Misty Moonlight paper before I cut “happy”. This made “happy” into a sticker, so it was easy to attach it to the Very Vanilla die cut label. Attach “happy” at an angle on the Vanilla label. Trim the ends from the Misty Moonlight label and attach to the back of each end of the Vanilla label. Attach to the card front.
Attach 3 Misty Moonlight enamel dots to the card front.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
