This is my first Mother's Day without my mom. I made this card for my aunt. In the last two years of my mom's dementia I would sometime leave the nursing home in tears and often I would end up at my aunt's house. She seemed to know when I needed to talk about mom and when I wanted to talk about something completely different. I am very grateful to have her in my life.
Today my aunt and uncle are celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary. These two are so special to me. I love the colors in this paper pack and will miss it when the catalog retires the end of May.
We are getting a new catalog in June and that means some items in our current catalog are retiring. I am really going to miss these large letter dies. This is an eclipse card, look close and you can see the letters in mom stand out from the card.
We are delighted to have a new baby boy in our life. This is the Easter card I made to say "Happy First Easter". This card design would also make an adorable card to welcome a new baby. I am not a fan of coloring, but it really was an easy color. The card came together quickly.
This is a card I made for my great-nephew to celebrate getting his Drivers License. You could also use this card for a birthday or Father's Day. If you know me, you know I am not a fan of coloring but the blends made it easy to color.
Today I tried the Bloom by Bloom stamp set and I am in love. I used Calypso Coral on this version, I can't wait to try lots of other color combos. I made this a Birthday card, but this beautiful bloom would also work on a Sympathy card or a card just for mom. The Rectangular Stitched Framelits made it easy for me to cut the two pieces for card front and the stitching added a special touch.
Do you have a favorite Stampin' Up! paper pack? Well yes, I love them all but my very fav and the one I will miss the most when the new paper packs come out in the new annual catalog is Share What You Love. The paper is slightly heavier so I can use it for gift boxes as well as for cards. Four of the designs have a pearlized finish. Of those 4 designs, the paper I used in this card is my absolutely favorite. And because I was loving the pearlized look, I added one of the pearlized doilies.
