Hand-Penned birthday card |
|
T his pretty card uses each side of the same piece of paper cut with two different size dies. Hand-penned is a paper pack in the new annual catalog.
Card Base: Cut Basic Black 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼ and emboss with the Ornate Floral embossing folder. Attach embossed card mat to card base.
Card Front: I used the two smallest dies in the Scallop Contour Dies. It is the same paper from the Hand-penned paper pack, cut one of each of the smaller dies from a piece of this paper pack. The smaller die cut piece shows the print with white background, the next larger die piece shows the pink side of the paper. Attach the smaller white print die cut piece to the center of the pink die cut piece. Attach these to the center of the embossed white card front.
Stamp sentiment with black ink on basic white paper. Punch out with the smaller oval in the double oval punch. Punch a black scallop oval with the same punch. Attach the stamped oval to the black scalloped oval. Attach these to the card front with Stampin’ dimensionals
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp the sentiment and attach a strip of the print paper ½ X 4 across the top of the card insert. Attach the card insert inside the card base.
