Flowering Fields Birthday card |
|
T oday is my sister’s birthday. This is the card I made for her
Card Base: Cut Pear Pizzazz 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Highand Heather 4 X 5 ¼ .
Card Front: Cut tulip print paper from Flowering Fields 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Attach print paper to Highland Heather card mat.
Cut label for front from Hippo & Friends dies. I used the smallest circular shaped die in the set. I also used the two small ribbon tabs to cut slots for the ribbon.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a strip of Flowering Fields ½ X 5 ¼, attach to the top of the card insert, after stamping. Attach the card insert inside the card.
This is how I set up my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment for the card front and the card insert at the same time. I stamped with Highland Heather ink. The sentiment for the front of the card is from Gumball Greetings. I stamped the sentiment to the right side of the label so I would have room to add butterflies to the label. The inside sentiment is from Flowering Tulips.
Insert ribbon through the ribbon slots on the stamped label. I used tear & tape on the back of the ribbon. Remove backing from tear & tape and attach ribbon with label to the front of the card, wrapping ribbon around to the back of the card mat.
Attach card front/mat to the Pear Pizzazz card base.
