Lovely Garden Birthday Card |
![]() |
L ovely Garden has some beautiful floral papers. I paired with my new favorite die set - Textured Notes Dies. The new 1/8” circle punch worked great to add that pretty faux velvet ribbon.
Card Base: Cut Fresh Freesia 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Use the largest die in the Textured Notes Dies to cut a mat from Basic Black.
Card Front: Use the 2nd largest die in the Textured Notes Dies to cut a card front from the print paper in the Lovely Garden paper pack. Attach the die cut card front to the Basic Black card mat.
Use the ⅛” circle punch from the Hole Punch Assortment of punches to punch a hole on each side of the black mat. I lined up the hole punch even with the bottom of the black mat on each side of the print card front. I lined up the punch even with the first hole to punch a 2nd hole on each side of the print card front.
Cut two 4” pieces of the Fresh Freesia Faux Velvet Ribbon. Insert the ribbon from the back of the card mat, across the card front and to the back of the card mat. Tape ribbon securely to the back of the card with Tear & Tape. Repeat for the second set of holes in the card.
Attach the card front to Fresh Freesia card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add three Fresh Freesia Starburst Sequins.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from Poised Peony with black ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
