Merriest Tags Candy Christmas card |
|
P eppermint candies remind me of Christmas. A tag and stamped sentiments from Merriest Tags was paired with a candy cane paper to make this Christmas card.
Card Base: Cut Basic Black cardstock 8 ½ X 5 ½. Fold the card base so the card base front measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White cardstock 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front: Cut Basic Black 3 ¼ X 5 ¼ . Cut candy cane print paper from A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper 3 X 5 ¼. Attach the print paper to the Basic Black piece. Emboss both papers with the candy cane Seasonal Cheer embossing folder. Attach the embossed paper ¼” from the top of the Basic White card mat. Attach the papers to the Basic Black card base.
Use a tag die from the Merriest Tags die set to cut a tag from Basic White cardstock. Stamp sentiment from Merriest Tags stamp set with Real Red ink on the white tag. Cut two 4” piece of Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and attach to the stamped tag. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the stamped tag to the card front.
Add 3 Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermint embellishments to the lower edge of the Basic White card mat.
Card Insert: Cut Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a strip of the same paper used on the card front ½ X 4 (5 ¼). Attach the strip of paper to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from Merriest Tags stamp set with Real Red ink on the insert before attaching the card inside the card base.
Envelope: Cut a 2 ¼ X 6 piece of the paper that you used on the card front. Attach to the envelope flap and trim using the envelope flap as a guide.
