Neutral Noel Treat Box |
|
T
his is a basic treat box that can be decorated in so many ways. I first saw this box design when Claudette Meriano (CM Creations) posted it on Facebook. This is my version of the treat box.
When I have a design I know I will use often, I make a template. This is the template I made for the basic treat box.
Begin by making the basic treat box.
Cut Crumb card stock 4 ¼ X 11
Score on the 11 length at 1 ½ , 5 ¼, 6 ¾ , 10 ½
Score on the 4 ¼ side at 1 ½
Cut on the solid lines
discard corner piece
fold & score the dotted lines
Attach tear & tape as pictured to assemble the box
To decorate the box
Cut Neutral Noel Speciality Designer Series Paper 2 ¾ X 7 ¾, score at ½, 2, 5 ¾, 7 ¼. Attach the paper to the treat box, the ½” piece at each end will attach to the back of the treat box.
Cut a 1 ½ X 7 ¾ piece of Neutral Noel. Use the strip of house from the Welcome Noel die set to cut out a strip of houses from this paper. Score the paper at ½, 2, 5 ¾, 7 ¼. Use the Welcome Noel die to cut a house from the same Neutral Noel Speciality Designer Series Paper.
Use the largest die in the Everyday Arches Die set to cut an arch from Crumb Cake.
Cut green paper from Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper 4 X 6. Attach adhesive paper to the back of the paper. Use the large wreath die from Noel Tidings die set to cut the wreath. Cut it in half, you just need a 3” high piece.
Attach the 2 ¾ X 7 ¾ piece of Neutral Noel to the treat box, the ½” piece at each end will attach to the back of the treat box.
Attach the strip of houses to the bottom of the bottom of the treat box, the ½” piece at each end will attach to the back of the treat box.
Remove the adhesive paper backing from the ½ wreath. Attach the wreath to the top of the arch.
Attach the arch to the back of the treat box. Use mini dimensionals to attach the die house to the arch under the wreath. Add 3 gold adhesive backed dots to the arch above the house.
Cut 18” of Neutrals Jute. Attach the jute to the back of the box, knot the jute at the front of the box. I used a glue dot to keep the knot in place. I also opened the edge of the jute below the knot to give the jute more texture.
