Need for Tweed Birthday card

Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper offers so many options for paper crafting. It is not a typical print in Designer Series Paper packs which can helps us to be a little more creative.

Card Base: Cut Cherry Cobbler 5 ½ X 8 ½. Fold in half so the card front measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Basic Black paper 4 X 5 ¼. Cut Basic Beige print from the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Attach Basic Beige print to the black mat. Emboss these pieces with the So Swirly embossing folders.

Card Front: Cut Basic Black 2 ¾ X 5 ¼. Cut Cherry Cobbler print from the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper 2 ⅝ X 5 ⅛. Attach the Cherry Cobbler print to the Basic Black paper. Emboss these pieces with the So Swirly embossing folders.

Attach the Cherry Cobbler/Black piece to the Basic Beige/Black piece ¼” from the top edge. Attach papers to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

Use the largest wide banner die in the Stylish Shapes die set to cut a black banner. Use the largest narrow banner die in the Stylish Shapes die set to cut a white banner.
Stamp sentiment from The Right Words stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink on the narrow white banner. Attach the white stamped banner to the black banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach both banners to the card front (see picture for placement). Add 3 black Neutral Matte Dots to the card front.

Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 5 ¼. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from The Right Words stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
